      What do I need to bring to Court?
  • Proper Identification (Driver license, Arizona ID)

  • Copy of citation

  • Appearance letter or court documents

  • Any receipts regarding your case – bond receipts, payment receipts, etc.

  • Any documents which prove compliance with judicial orders and/or sentencing.
  • Money or credit card (VISA, MasterCard, Discover) to pay for fines and fees. Note: Personal checks will not be accepted for cases in default or warrant status.

  • Do not use any nicknames or alias; use the same spelling as listed on documents related to the case and ensure spelling listed on documents is correct; if they are not, advise the Court.

  • Provide the Court with your current address.

  • Appropriate dress is required. Shoes and shirt are required.

  • WARNING: If you fail to appear in Court as promised, you may be arrested and punished by JAIL AND/OR A FINE.

When is my court date?

Refer to the citation, court document, court web site, or call Court Information at (520) 791-4216.


Can you give me legal advice?

How do I get a refund on my bond?

Once authorized by a judge, refunds are mailed within 30 days of the judicial order.


There is a warrant out for my arrest, what do I do?

Please refer to the section on Active Warrants.


When am I scheduled for Defensive Driving School? Where do I have to report for the Defensive Driving School?

Please refer to the envelope you received from the Police Officer for class information and location; call the school with whom you registered.


How do I get a continuance for my Defensive Driving Class?

You must appear in court at the Public Services Lobby, 103 E. Alameda, to request a "motion for extension".


I went to the Defensive Driving School, now what happens?

When you complete the class at an Arizona Supreme Court certified school, the school notifies the court of your completion and the charge is not reported to MVD. For further questions, call the Court at (520) 791-4216.


How do I get protection from my violent spouse or partner?

Request an Order of Protection. Call Court Information at (520)791-4971 or come to the Court at 103 E. Alameda, 1st floor, Room 108. Orders are issued Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM. After normal business hours, please call Emerge at (520) 881-7201. Additionally, emergency orders of protection are available after normal business hours – Dial 911.


Can I stop threats from my neighbor/acquaintance/coworker, etc.?

Request an Injunction Against Harassment. Call (520) 791-4971 or come to Court at 103 E. Alameda, 1st floor, Room 108, Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 4 PM.
