CHANGE IN THE CITY'S BUSINESS LICENSE POLICY
Effective January 1, 2008, a new business license
policy went into effect
at the City of Tucson.

The
17-step business licensing process was created and developed as a guide to
assist City of Tucson business license applicants in successfully completing the
business licensing process.

enterprise are championed,
not to the detriment of, but to the greatest good of the public.
... Monitor taxes and other regulations imposed on small businesses
in the City of Tucson and help maintain a healthy environment in
which businesses can operate.

of the City Council.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Revamped ordinance to save the A-Frames (ongoing)
Revision of the Peddlers Ordinance
Instrumental in designing a new business license policy to
simplify and streamline requirements
Instrumental in having liquor license increase in fees be a gradual
increase overtime
Continues to establish a working relationship with the City of
Tucson Transportation Department regarding roadway issues and
assistance to businesses
Participates on stakeholders' group working with Development
Services Department to improve and streamline processes and
procedures
