1. "GIS Use within ADOT" - Eva Reid - ADOT

    - Thanks to Eva Reid at ADOT for her presentation on GIS use at ADOT. The presentation will be made available on the GIS coop website at: http://www.ci.tucson.az.us/gis/

2. Emergency Response project - Joe Gulotta - TFD

    - TFD has a full set of information requirements

    - 1st objective for this project was to correct hardware deficiencies

    - TFD has 20 different laptops in their vehicles at this present time

    - TFD has contracted with ADSI for CAD work (MAPNETFORCE)

    - Equipment should be delivered within six to eight months along with GPS data/electronic mapping

3. GIS Portal licensing - Colleen Rosen

    - Signed license agreement for GIS Portal licensing is for organization outside of COT. This applies not just to government bodies, but other agencies as well

    - Firms need to be informed on how this works and what it entails

    - We may need to develop pamphlet/flyer describing what the GIS Portal does

4. Pictometry training - Manny Rosas - mrosas@pagnet.org

    - 17-18 GB of pictometry data with centerline and parcel DB, and some direction tools

    - A small sample of 2005 ortho data is now available (1/2 and 1 ft resolution)

    - Pictometry project covers 35 sq. mi. (Tucson empowerment zone - What is an empowerment zone?

    - Pictometry data set will be distributed to COT, PCDOT, ES and TW.

    - Training sessions for pictometry will be on August 11th and 12th. See GIS Coop website for the training flyer (it will also be attached to this minutes notice). To sign up for the pictometry training, go to: http://www.pagnet.org/rdc/picttrain/

      Unfortunately, no federal agencies can take part in this

    - The pictometry images can be used for a flyer, but not given to a consultant

    - More pictometry training may occur in September

5. Subcommittee updates

    - All subcommittees are still working on various projects. August's Coop meeting will have reports on how project development has been proceeding

    - The Executive subcommittee has unanimously agreed that having an Executive Leadership structure would be good for the GIS Coop. However, some details will need to be worked out before this proposal is presented to members for their input

6. Budget

    - Dave Koss has agreed to take care of the budget for the current chair. The budget for this

    FY (FY 05-06) is $80,420

    - Should the GIS Coop budget cover Pima Community College courses?

    - TFD may need an intern for data conversion

    (TFD also wants to place pictometry on their laptops

    - GIS Coop should think about allocating some money towards new data layers that we

    may need or don't have (such as footprints of all of the buildings in Tucson/Pima County)

7. Open Floor

    - Zoning layer has been completed (Jesse Reyes - COT UPD). It will be awhile, however, before it can be released, due to the edge matching that needs to occur. This work may possibly contracted out

    - Tucson Water is hiring for four (4) full-time interns (approx. $9.00 per hour). Work period is six to eight weeks from sign off to the end of FY 05-06. Involves editing in ArcMap and moving all points and lines

    - Tucson Water is updating to ArcGIS 9.1
