“A” MOUNTAIN EASTER ACTIVITIES TO IMPACT PARK USE
Easter activities at Sentinel Peak Park (“A” Mountain) will impact public use of the site from 1-6 p.m. Friday, April 10 and again on Easter Sunday morning.
The Good Friday Procession (La Procession De Viernes) and Easter Sunday Sunrise Services (La Misa Al Amaneser) at the site have been held for more than 20 years.
Tucson Parks and Recreation staff will begin clearing the park of cars and vehicular traffic at noon Friday, and the gates will be closed to the public once the site is cleared.
Friday’s Procession will begin at 5 p.m. and run into the evening, and event organizers will control park vehicle access.
Public use of the park on Saturday, April 11 will not be restricted.
Sunday’s Easter Mass begins at 6 a.m., and event organizers will control the flow of vehicles until the end of services when gates will reopen for the general public at approximately 10 a.m.
For park information contact the Southwest District at 791-5909.
