Landscape Advisory Committee

The Landscape Advisory Committee (LAC) was created by Mayor and Council Action in 1990. The LAC functions in an advisory capacity to the Mayor and Council on matters pertaining to the design, management, planning and policy of Tucson's vegetation. The LAC is also charged with promoting sound landscape management practices through public education. The LAC consists of 10 members. At least one representative must be appointed from each of the following prescribed membership categories: landscape architect, landscape contractor, civil engineer/hydrologist, urban planner/architect, water conservation specialist, horticulturist/arborist, ecologist/wildlife habitat specialist, neighborhood representative, business person, and educator.
